JEREMY SCOTT FALL 11

Fashion Week has come around again. I realize that this is a somewhat of a delayed response however it is dissertation season in university, which unfortunately fails to stop for fashion week. Waaaaaa. Anyway each season I look forward to seeing footage/pictures from the Jeremy Scott show, and this season was neither an exception or a let down. His walks are always so fun and eccentric - exactly what I want to see from a runway. Breaking away from the dullness that tends to cling to fall collections,  Jeremy Scott Fall 2011 looks very vibrant and very nineties influenced. Fittingly titled 'candy flip' the collection certainly reminds you of tripping. The fluffy neon skirts and shoes matched with the models highlighter-esq eyeshadow and hair extensions give the impression that you are viewing an ecstasy fueled rave rather than a fashion show. Despite this a lot of the collection is still very wearable.  Below are some of my favorite pieces:

Those shoes...
Love the shirt and the skirt is insane.
Candy printed skater dress. So so sweet.
'Enjoy God'

Also look out for Cory's new hair in the video below:

CLOSER TO YOU

Its all about connections i guess..
Looks like socialite Peaches Geldof is making another attempt at launching some sort of musical career (anybody remember 'Rodnik' a la 2008?? and the fashionably challanged dj combination that was 'Trash Pussies').
Stepping away from the indie scene, accompanied by room mate Phlo Finister, Geldof features on a trance song which i am surprised to say is not half bad! Unfortunately it is hard to tell who's vocals are who's (as i am not learned in either's), however it does not matter that much as both are pleasing to the ear.
Congratulations Peaches, I will be listening and would be interested in future collaborations between the three artists involved!
More of Cory Enemy here
More of Phlo Finister here
And a photo of the two vocalists:

sky ferreira

This girl has sick style. She has been featured in Nylon, Dazed & Confused, Interview and Jalouse for good reason. Her music, although a little too poppy for my taste, has its charms. Happy Dre and her cover of Miike Snow's cult anthem Animal is climbing up my iTunes most played list. Unfortunately her album release has been pushed back to later in the year but until then a lot of her material is floating around the internet. At the tender age of 18 she may very well be my youngest style icon, with her nineties grunge exterior and sea of wavy golden locks far surpassing any other cobrasnake girl that Mark can spit out. Step aside Atlanta de Cadenet.

I adore born ruffians. Their 2007 album 'Red, Yellow and Blue' was incredible and at the minute im giving the 'Plinky Plonk' e.p a lot of time on my itunes.
Worth checking out.

This is my life right now.....

All i do is study, read and watch my small dvd collection over and over again
Its been almost a year since i have posted.
I intend to post at least once a week from now on.

I have returned to the U.K and am completing my dissertation in History in Swansea University. It is not that nice here, unless you are a surfer which unfortunately i am not, or a party girl - but not the good type, the type that dresses in lypsy and drinks VK's in Oceana three times a week.
Even topshop has lost its appeal to me. Very few people dress well here, except for the Asian international students who dress impeccably. Every girl seems to wear ugg boots.
